Trisha's New Deal
Trish is settling into her "new"schedule of Monday through Friday treatments. Here's what she has to say:
Hi there, my friends! I'm doing better pretty much day by day--lots more moving and thinking and I even steal time from the difficulties of brain tumor by reading historical novels. I've started in on my daily treatments out in Berkeley, and today had lunch out there once for a little adventure. I still nap quite a bit and it can be very overwhelming to see too many people, so I have definitely been keeping myself pretty socially quiet--perhaps in a month (or more? or less?) I'll be able to see more people. Of course I love to hear from you, and of course I wish I had a million hours of time, lots of money and---what the heck: no brain tumor! so I could spend all my time visiting. Well, for now the best hope is lots of time, continued health improvement, and eventual opportunities to be in communication with you all. I'll hand things back to John, now, my inspired web site blogger. Great to talk to you! xoxxoxox Trisha
Please keep replying: we love hearing from you.
We are in good shape for now regarding drivers and caregivers - and we thank the many who have offered. If you have those skills to offer, do let us know - we may well be calling on you. For the many friends who would like to visit, let us know about that, too. We will see about working in some short visits over the next several weeks. With the many treatments, Dr.'s appointments, etc. - Trish can only see a limited number of friends at this point. Please contact me directly about these things at john@callahanpiano.com
Love to all,
-John

ReplyDeleteIf you need caregiving or more driving, please call on me. If I have some notice I can keep time open - a whole day, or a radiation treatment, or a weekend, or whatever. My business is flexible.
ReplyDeleteI am so happy to hear that you are doing better and are able to read historical novels! That's great news. And you know where to get BACH when needed....

ReplyDeleteHi, Trishie! My first comment on your blog! Can't wait to see you soon. Let's have a slumber party this Friday -- for the whole weekend! I'll bring my sleeping bag!
ReplyDeleteLots of love, from your small big sister, Mary.
Whenever you're in need of baby therapy, let me know, and I'll be right over. We can strap her to you in the BabyBjörn, which makes baby-holding handsfree!
ReplyDeleteHI there,
ReplyDeletegood to see those great pictures. Were I skilled at blogs and so on, I would put some pictures of us and donkeys in the mountains taken last week, for your agreement, but I have no idea of how to do that, and I don't have a skilled and devoted brother like you have with John!
We think of you an lot and send over plenty good French thoughts.
All the very best, Emmanuelle and al.
Hey Patricia,
ReplyDeleteSeth and I are sending good thoughts your way. I'm seeing Anne Laskey and Gail tomorrow so I'll let them know that you're mending.
We're pretty boring around here. I'm savoring those precious few moments before school starts again and trying to keep the squirrels away from my bird feeder. Our might hunter, Sprat the Cat, keeps falling asleep under the bird feeder tree so no help there, I'm afraid.
Keep healing. Love the new do!
Best,
Kate and Seth
Austin Film Festival is October 21 to 28th.....let's go!
