Trisha had a nice recovery once the great docs at UCSF got her meds stabilized over the past 48 hours.
She felt well enough today to meet briefly with her motley, yet beloved gang of co-workers at the piano workshop www.miracleinabox.com . Then it was on to Berkeley to meet with the team of docs who will be overseeing her ongoing treatment (radiation and chemo) which will begin first thing next week.
After her first day venturing out, she is exhausted - and will take the next few days to build up some strength before starting the radiation and chemo phase of treatment.
For now, she will be staying at John and Nancy's in Oakland - and we will soon be calling upon all of the local friends and relatives to help with the daily, Monday through Friday trips to Berkeley for radiation.
More details about that in a few days.
Love to all,
John and Trisha

John/Trisha, Could you send me your address please, John? Also, would you please call me if you would like to use my house in Oakland for guests/visitors? It's furnished but vacant presently, as I"m living in Arizona and the house is under contract to close escrow in early September. My number is 520-390-3300. My address is jillncartwright@hotmail.com

Hope you're feeling OK today. I love you.
ReplyDeleteTrish -- I hope you are feeling good and gather tons of strength for the next phase of your treatments. I am just around the corner from John's house and available during the day for shleps to and from radiation, so please call me (John knows how to reach me) whenever I can be of assistance. Thinking of you -- Deborah
ReplyDeleteTrisha, I am sure we would be able to help some with the driving. We have vacation coming up, but we will be home. Call (510) 684-6454.
ReplyDeleteLove, Shannon
Trisha, I would also like to recommend you talk to your doctor about taking probiotics (Whole Foods carries many brands). I recommend them because chemo and radiation will wreak havoc on your immune system and digestive tract, so probiotics may keep some symptoms at bay. I love you.
ReplyDeleteHave car will travel and hold hands as needed.
