Welcome to my new Blog

This Blog has been created to keep Friends and Relations updated on Trisha's recent sudden illness - a brain tumor - which was discovered on July 16, 2010. She had surgery on July 23, 2010, at UCSF, performed by Dr. Mannish K. Aghi

http://neurosurgery.ucsf.edu/index.php/about_us_faculty_aghi.html

Dr. Aghi is pleased with the outcome of the surgery and even more pleased with Trisha's remarkable recovery from the surgery. She should be released within a few days, and Trisha requests that only immediate family visit her at this time.

Trisha will be away from her cell phone and email for a while, and requests that her friends leave messages for her here, on this blog. Soon, Trisha will be making her own progress reports here, on this blog. Meanwhile, her family will post progress reports here.

Please bookmark this page and check for updates.

  14. OK....Lake Merritt awaits us....Trish
I just spent time rowing on a stormy lake in Vermont...
My heart stopped a couple of times when I had to turn my rowing shell into the white caps and wind. to get back .
I did it and I have the blisters to prove it.
    Eleanor...with love

  15. Dear Trish,

This is from today’s entry in my “diary”.

MONDAY 26 July 2010 @ 0430. Yes, up as I was in bed and asleep around 2100. Went downstairs and put a pan with sauce I wanted to reduce on a hot fire. I started the coffee and went downstairs to put newly washed clothes in the dryer. Then I got distracted and went out front to fill and start the fountain. Then Linda comes hurrying down and says, “The kitchen and upstairs bedroom is full of smoke!” I had forgotten the pan on the stove and the smoke woke Linda up and smoked out the kitchen and the bedroom above where she was sleeping.

I tried to access your blog about 5 AM but had to wait for Linda to show me how to get it to work!

    Just keeping in touch!

    Love,

John (and Linda) Linda will write to you herself.

  24. Hay Trish!

Who's your sheep herding friend!? Eleanor and I attended a VERY fancy outdoor party July 3rd... at the height of festivities, right after my first bite of filet mignon, Eleanor looked over to see one of our sheep and two lambs jumping over the boxwood hedge... followed by 18 more who took one look at the crowd and said "we're not in Kansas anymore!" and split, after entertaining the guests! Apparently some fireworks scared them over their walled pasture and they got lost in the woods.... Not quite sure why I'm telling this story on your blog except that I'm sure you'll get a laugh or two out of it.... looking forward to more good times with you..!!!!!!! El's got me rowing now... she let's me use her old Alden Shell now that she has a shiny new one.

    Lot's of Love

  27. Hi Trish,
Just got an email from brother Paul asking after you.
Still no baby though Emily has many suggestions on FB as to how to get that baby out of there. One suggests drinking a cup of olive oil. I responded by saying that I think the baby would probably come up and out the other way if she did that, Yuck! Induction (she's going in the Army) will be Sun. evening if nothing happens by then.
Continue to heal. Our thoughts are with you and we know Bob is watching over you. Foow to Bob from Ginger.
    Love,
    Claudia & Steve
